A former 13th C."Noble Haunt", subsequentely altered over five centuries up to French Revolution, the Domaine de la Barde, with its manor house, mill, forge and park featuring centuries old trees, will offer you a warm welcome near to the centre of the village.

The pure Mansart-style forge has been restored and its bread and pastry baking ovens rebuilt in lauze stone.
The classical garden has been recreated un the spirit of the 18th century.

Set in the park you will find tennis facilities and a jet stream swimming pool to gently massage you or where you can simply relax on a beach surrounded by varied varieties of flowers; the adjacent orangery offers table tennis, a gymnastic session followed by a sauna and hot or cold showers.


To round off the day, the Domaine offers charming meadow and trout stream riverside walks, after which you wind your way back to the manor house via the classical garden, bidding goodnight to the statyue of "Threatening Eros"!
